CIA, Cuban Developments – 08/30/1962

A Puerto Rican source reported that a Cuban anti-Castro group in Puerto Rico calling itself Alpha-66 (from its search for $66,000) was planning an operation sometime in the next six days. The report also noted Cuban and Soviet reaction to President Kennedy’s statement during his press conference about Cuba. And Arthur Krock’s New York Times article discussing the feasibility of a naval blockade of Cuba was also noted.
