Chronology of JCS Decisions Concerning the Cuban Missile Crisis – 1/4/1963

This January 1963 report details decisions and actions by the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Cuban Missile Crisis and its aftermath. While many of the intelligence post-mortems focused on the summer in an effort to determine whether the nature of the Soviet buildup could or should have been detected and reported earlier, this report starts on October 15 and carries through the end of November 1962. It provides a day-by-day chronology and includes summaries of JCS meetings.
