CIA, Cuban Developments – 08/27/1962

In this brief report, the CIA focused on a raid on Havana by a group from the Revolutionary Student Directorate. It fit, the CIA analysts wrote, “with other indications that the Cuban exiles are straining at the bit for some kind of direct action against Castro.”

The other item in the report was that the Soviet bloc had a surplus of Cuban sugar.
